49er United Spring Academy

49er United is excited to announce our inaugural Spring Academy program geared specifically towards our area's younger (U6-U10) players.  Tis fun filled and informative program will give your kiddo a chance and develop key fundamentals they will use their entire soccer careers.  Whether it is looking to learn new skills to take back to their rec team or getting a jumpstart on competitive tryouts in May...there is something for everybody here!  The plan is to run a 5 week program every Wednesday at Railhead Park in Auburn starting April 5th.

The cost ($70) includes registration, acess to the five sessions, and a limited edition Academy t-shirt.

Director of Coaching Wanted 

49er United is actively seeking a highly impactful Director of Coaching to join our organization.  This individual will partner with our newly elected Board to help shape the future of our Club and fulfill the big aspirations of our members. This individual should understand who we are and who we aspire to be. Someone who understands the small community youth sports culture and knows how to navigate that and create the best club we can possibly be. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Coaching Job includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
A. Report to and be supervised by the Board of Directors
B. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club’s soccer program
C. Recruit, train, and supervise the coaches in the Club
D. Shall be responsible for certification and licensing of coaches at minimum levels as designated by the Board
E. Establish and implement a consistent player development philosophy and curriculum
F. Assist and Oversee player tryouts and team formation process
G. Build relationships with local rec programs to foster future partnership and growth of the Club
H. Prepare and monitor the coach evaluation process and conduct coach evaluations as appropriate
I. Maintain a record of complaints about coaches and any disciplinary actions taken
J. Work with the Club Administrator for general communication for the Club
K. Oversee the selection process for coaches of all teams
L. Attend required NorCal Meetings
M. Attends a minimum of 2 practices or games per season per team and interacts with the coach
N. If a coach needs support and mentorship, additional time will be invested with them by the DOC.
O. Other duties as required or assigned by the Board of Director
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum USSF D License or Equivalent (Club will reimburse for a Level D license or will reimburse equivalent funds for a higher license not to exceed $450).
Compensation: $2500 per year (12 month consulting agreement)
